NZ Palms, Cycads and Subtropical Plants has been around for a while now although you’d be forgiven for not knowing it. For many years, we were simply an idea, a passion and a hobby. Then we became Bacchus Palms.

Much as we loved the name Bacchus Palms we’ve rebranded as NZ Palms, Cycads and Subtropical Plants to reflect our greater ambitions: to be the best supplier of beautiful palms, cycads and subtropical plants throughout New Zealand.

More than palms, cycads and subtropical plants however, what we’re truly passionate about is helping New Zealanders to create beautiful and unique gardens. That means working with landscapers to identify novel designs and sourcing plants that’ll complement palms trees.

There’s something else that also excites us: saving endangered palms. Sadly, many palm species are at risk of extinction in their natural habitat due to uncontrolled forest destruction. By growing and popularising new species we want to do our bit to ensure their survival. We’ll tell you more about this as the business grows and begins to support this work.
